The relationship between oral tradition and written literature in Africa has been a subject of significant scholarly interest. This article examines how contemporary African novelists integrate oral narrative techniques—such as the griot tradition, proverbs, and folktale structures—into their literary works, creating a distinctive narrative aesthetic.
